As part of Kalamandir’s 1st anniversary on 7th July, Kalamandir Foundation has initiated the “SUPER STAR ANTI-DRUG CAMPAIGN 2011”. This initiative is being endorsed by celebrities of Tollywood, Kollywood & Mollywood. The list of celebrities includes Ravi Teja, Vikram, Mammootty, Ambareesh, Lakshmi Manchu, Prakash Raj, Samantha, Mamta Mohandas, Allari Naresh, Puri Jaganath, Krish, Rock line Venkatesh, Upendra, Krish, Devakata, Sukumar, Sandeep, Tapsee and others who are coming together to raise their voice against drugs.

This is a unique initiative in Andhra Pradesh by Kalamandir Foundation and it is attracting many other celebrities in the cine circuit to be a part of it. According to a report, there are nearly 70million drug users in the country and nearly 5000 people below 21 years die due to drug overdose each year. With drug abuse becoming rampant, the foundation has decided to create awareness regarding the same.

After the very successful and much talked about inaugural edition of Miss TWIN CITY-Beauty Pageant Contest in 2009, it is back for the second edition. Kalamandir is proud to announce that it is the title sponsor for this event.

This show is scheduled to be held on October 30, 2010 at the State-of-the-art Exhibition centre, HITEX in Hyderabad.

Kalamandir recently opened it new store at Patny Centre, Secunderabad.

The store was inaugurated on Friday, October 8th by the City Mayor, Karteeka Reddy along with Tollywood actresses Shriya Saran and Richa Gangopadhyay (of Leader fame). There was a huge crowd during the inauguration as fans were eager to get a glimpse of their favourite stars. The actresses spoke to the press for a little while and conveyed how they much loved sarees. Richa checked out the variety of sarees and designs available at the showroom.
